Life after high school eh?

Surfing the web and stumbling upon this pretty interesting myth.
SONS OF ODIN:

1. Thor God of Thunder born of mother Jord 'Earth'.
2. Baldur God of Beauty born of mother Frigg, Queen of the heavens, Goddess of Motherhood, Love and Fertility.
3. Hod God of Darkness and Winter born of mother Frigg as well.
4. Vali born of a giantess Rind
5. Loki God of Mischief and Evil (adopted son)

Now that you've learn all the characters, this is where the story really begins....

Baldur had a dream of his death and grew terrified for the dreams of Gods are usually prophetic.
So Frigg, Baldur's mother made every creature made a vow never to hurt Baldur. All but one living creature took this vow.... a tiny mistletoe. Frigg, thinking the mistletoe was too tiny and too young to vow let it be.

Meanwhile, all the gods were indulging in a new game. They took turn to throw things at Baldur for everything they threw at him would bounced back without hurting him. Loki grew jealous of this idea that Baldur is immortal.

Loki being the God of Mischief, shape shifted himself into a giantess and went to seek Frigg. He wanted to know if there was really nothing that could hurt Baldur. Frigg told the giantess (Loki) about the tiny mistletoe.

Loki seek for the mistletoe and brought it back. Loki tricked Hod the blind blood brother of Baldur to throw the mistletoe at Baldur. Hod tossed the mistletoe at Baldur with guidance from Loki and Baldur fell dead.

Hod was to be punished. Therefore, Vali was born of a giantess to avenge Baldur's death. Vali was to born to solely punish Hod and he succeeded. Hod was sent to the underworld to revive Baldur. Hod returned and said that Baldur would be be brought back to life if everyone wept for him.

So everyone wept for Baldur except for Loki. They soon found out that Loki had pretended to be the giantess and arranged Baldur murder. Loki was punished dearly. He was tied to a tree where snake's venom would drip down on him and he would cry out in pain with every drop of venom.

So there you have it. A story on Baldur, Hod, Loki and Vali (Sons of Odin).

I noticed the story didn't say anything about Thor. But trust me, Thor is a whole other story.
I'll just leave that for later.... :)
